Allah tells us in Surah Yunus (Ayah 57-58) that true joy lies elsewhere.
"O mankind! There has come to you an instruction from your Lord, a healing for what is in the hearts, a guidance, and a mercy for the believers. Say: In the bounty of Allah and His mercy—let them rejoice in that. It is better than whatever they accumulate." (Yunus 57-58)
