How the Quran Changed the World

Throughout human history, Allah سبحانه وتعالى sent numerous prophets to different parts of the world and to all its different nations. Prophets were chosen from amongst the people and were no different in physical make-up to any other human being. All prophets in essence carried the message of tawheed whilst some messengers were given additional revelation to take to their people.

For the deen of Islam, the Qur’an was the miracle that proved Muhammed’s صلى الله عليه وسلم prophethood.

So how do we attain Taqwa?

Allah (سبحانه وتعالى.) has decreed upon His slaves to fast the blessed month of Ramadhan (Ramadan) to achieve the meaning of Taqwa (consciousness Of Allah(swt)), by conquering the soul, breaking desires and preserving the heart and the limbs, so that the slave gets closer to his Lord, thus seeking his reward and pleasure.

Oh Youth—Rise to the Challenge!

The young man raised in the worship of Allah (سبحانه وتعالى.) is one of the seven blessed with the Shade of Allah (سبحانه وتعالى.) on the Day or Resurrection.

There was Justice until there wasn't

The month of Rajab overflows with events and occurrences worthy of the mention, and indeed worthy of remembrance.

Rajab saw events in Islamic History which belong in the category of those which changed the course of history for mankind.  One of the greatest gift this month holds is deliverance of Justice.  Contrary to the current world in which we live, the Justice that Islam once provided is absent.

I am better than him!

As we enter another "Black History Month", Muslims are well aware that the epidemic of racism that the West is facing clearly stems from its ideology and its institutions.   Racism is not inherent in the nature of the human being rather it is cultivated in the individual’s personality by the culture one carries.

Muslims are also well aware that Islam has a cure as witnessed by several ayahs and incidences with the Sahabah.

Dua for a Cold Day

Many of us are facing extreme weather conditions, with temperatures dropping well below freezing. In times of hardship it is vital that we should remember to supplicate to Allah سبحانه وتعالى.

May Allah سبحانه وتعالى protect us and our families from the harsh weather conditions and make us patient and firm in our deen. Ameen.  It is also important to remember the rest of the Ummah in our du'as.

May Allah سبحانه وتعالى ease the suffering of the Muslims in Palestine, Syria, Myanmar, Kashmir, East Turkestan, and across the world. Ameen.
